Introduction to Uno Platform

Abstract:
Uno is a new platform for building cross-platform, native mobile, desktop and WebAssembly with C#, XAML from a single codebase. Uno Platform is a Universal Windows Platform Bridge that allows UWP-based code (C# and XAML) to run on iOS, Android, and WebAssembly. This platform was developed by my old company back in Canada and I spent my last year there working on it. In this session, we will start with a high-level view of the Uno Platform, followed by a deeper dive into the internals and use of Xamarin and mono-wasm as well as a walkthrough of a few sample apps for mobile and web.

Speaker Bio:
Steve Bilogan is currently a Senior Consultant @ Improving working on a variety of .NET solutions. Steve’s main passion is in mobile development that started back home in Canada where he worked as a mobile engineer in Montreal building Android and iOS apps using Xamarin, as well as working on the early stages of the Uno platform.
