Topic:
Galileo Magnifico! IoT with Windows on Devices
Abstract:
We are in the era of the Maker. Never before has DIY-type hardware been so accessible and affordable. The plethora of devices and sensors at our fingertips is staggering, giving us the power to bring our ideas to fruition. Microsoft recently unveiled their Windows on Devices developer program that brings a small Windows OS to a small device, in this case the Intel Galileo. The first preview enables developers to use Visual Studio to program and execute Arduino sketches on the Galileo. This session will provide an overview of the developer program, how to get started with Windows on the Galileo as well as a demonstration of a couple of projects.
