Ahoy!

The January 2014 Meetup of the The Windows Developer User Group is scheduled for January 20th from 6PM to 8PM @ TechColumbus. Please see details below & kindly RSVP.

Topic:
Cloud Backend for your Mobile Apps!

Abstract:
Backend-As-a-Service. It is the buzzword for most cloud providers to lure Mobile application developers into the stack. Through SDKs and easy handling of services/data/users, it has become super easy to augment your mobile solutions with cloud support. Here’s the short run down of what we will cover:

–      Cross-platform versatility of REST APIs
–      Storage, validation & manipulation of Data
–      User Authentication (social) & Authorization
–      Seamless Push Notifications across platforms
–      Notification Hubs & Schedulers

Think Azure Mobile Services rocks? How does the Telerik Everlive Backend Service stack up? What’s right for your mobile app & more. Give me 1.5 hours of your time – I promise it’ll be well spent knowing BaaS from basics to real-world implementations.
